Doug Mavins

Doug Mavins is a Mechanical Designer with extensive experience in the engineering field. Currently employed at Stantec since January 2025 and previously at Morrison Hershfield from February 2019 to December 2024, Doug has developed a strong foundation in mechanical design. Prior roles include a position as a Cost Estimator at Array Marketing and various teaching assistant roles at Queen's University, where Doug conducted tutorials in engineering calculus and introduction to design while also serving as a Development Manager for first-year engineering course material. Doug's early experience includes working as a Student Clerk at Hydro One, where responsibilities involved compiling safety information and performing clerical duties. Doug holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Mathematics and Engineering from Queen's University, earned in 2018.
