Douglas Boyd

Douglas Boyd is a highly experienced Senior Archeologist at Stantec, Inc., with a career spanning over four decades in archeology and related fields. Beginning as an archeological field crew member for various university contractors from 1973 to 1980, Douglas progressed to roles such as Bud Man on Campus at Budco, Inc., and archeologist for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. Douglas served as Staff Archeologist for the Texas Historical Commission and later for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation from 1982 to 1987. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in General Studies with a focus on Archeology from West Texas A&M University and a Master’s degree in Anthropology from Texas A&M University, Douglas held leadership positions as Vice President at Prewitt and Associates until its acquisition by Cox|McLain Environmental Consulting in 2020, followed by Stantec in 2022.
