Dr Michelle Theron

Dr. Michelle Theron is a Senior Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Stantec, where they focus on innovative geotechnical solutions. They hold a PhD from the University of Southampton and a Master's degree in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from the University of Pretoria. Dr. Theron has extensive experience in designing tailings and return water dams across Africa, having previously worked at organizations such as Jones and Wagener and Rust Geotechnical Consultants. Additionally, they have lectured at the University of the Witwatersrand and contributed to significant research during their academic career.
