Eleni Gkeli is an experienced Engineering Geologist and Team Lead with a robust 27-year background in the civil engineering industry, specializing in large infrastructure projects across transportation, water, and building sectors. Currently serving as the Technical Director of Engineering Geology and Rock Engineering at Stantec, Eleni is also the Immediate Past Chair of the New Zealand Geotechnical Society. Eleni holds a Master of Science in Tunnel Design and Construction from the National Technical University of Athens and a Master of Science in Rock Mechanics and Foundation Design from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Prior roles include Senior Engineering Geologist at Opus International Consultants and Engineering Geologist at Egnatia Odos S.A., among others.
