Emily Reed is a seasoned professional in architectural history and historic preservation, currently serving as the Technical Area Leader for Architectural History across North America at Stantec since December 2021. Previously, Emily held various prominent roles at Cox|McLain Environmental Consulting, Inc. from June 2014 to December 2021, including Associate & Historic Preservation Program Manager and Senior Architectural Historian/Project Manager. Prior experience includes working as an Architectural Historian/Environmental Planner at Hicks & Company, and as a Historic Preservation Specialist at the University of Texas at Austin. Emily commenced a career in historic preservation and architectural research with academic roles at the University of Texas at Austin and RCLCO, where market feasibility analyses were conducted for real estate development projects. Emily holds a Bachelor's Degree in History & Art History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master's Degree in Historic Preservation from the University of Texas at Austin.
