Iain Hynd

Iain Hynd is a Planning Associate Director at Stantec, having transitioned from Barton Willmore, where they spent over ten years prior to the company’s full integration in June 2023. With more than 17 years of experience in the planning sector, their expertise encompasses residential, retirement, retail, student accommodation, and energy projects. Iain has held various roles in notable firms, including Alliance Planning and Turley Associates, and operated their own practice, Hynd Planning Consultancy. Additionally, they actively participated in the Royal Town Planning Institute, serving on its Scottish Executive Committee for four years and as Convenor of the West of Scotland Chapter. Iain holds a Master’s degree in Town Planning from Heriot-Watt University.
