Jef Figueroa

Jef Figueroa is a seasoned mining engineer with a comprehensive background in mine planning and operations. Currently employed at Stantec as a Mine Engineer since April 2021, Jef supports various global mining projects and contributes to innovative techniques for enhanced project efficiency. Prior experience includes roles such as Senior Long-Range Planner at Nevada Gold Mines and Senior Short Range Planner at Barrick Gold Corporation, where Jef developed strategic plans to align with budget forecasts. Jef's career began with internships at Lisbon Valley Mining Company and Jim Bridger Coal Company, followed by positions at BHP Billiton and Westmoreland Coal Company, encompassing longwall production planning and ventilation engineering. A graduate of the University of Utah with a degree in Mining Engineering, Jef possesses a strong foundation in mineral and earth sciences.
