Joe Wales

Joe Wales is a chartered senior mechanical engineer with over a decade of experience in mechanical design, new product development, and project management. Currently working at Stantec as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, they specialize in energy and resources, with a focus on hydrogen refuelling stations. Joe has played a key role in several notable projects across Europe and Australia, ensuring compliance and safety throughout the design, build, and commissioning phases. Prior to Stantec, they held positions at Haskel, Parker Hannifin, and METALIS ENERGY LIMITED, contributing to innovative engineering solutions in high-pressure systems and gas filtration products. Joe earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with distinction from Teesside University and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Newcastle University.
