Karl Baker

Karl Baker is a Senior Principal Transport Planner and Practice Leader in Transport Planning with over 17 years of experience in government and consulting roles across Auckland, Melbourne, London, and Wellington. Currently employed at Stantec, Karl specializes in transport planning with a focus on active modes, public transport, and integrated land-use planning. Prior roles include managing the Melbourne office of MRCagney, and serving as a policy adviser for the New Zealand government on infrastructure investment. Karl holds a Master’s degree in City Design and Social Science from the London School of Economics and two Bachelor’s degrees from Victoria University of Wellington.
