Kate Reeds

Kate Reeds is a Practice Lead/Principal in Marine and Freshwater Ecology at Stantec, bringing over 20 years of experience in environmental consultancy and impact assessment, particularly in marine and coastal environments. Kate has a strong background in marine ecology, with advanced skills in project management, ecological surveys, and stakeholder engagement. They have successfully managed high-profile projects, including a preliminary environmental assessment for offshore wind feasibility and a large-scale coastal monitoring program for the Ichthys LNG development project. Kate's previous roles include positions at Cardno, the University of Sydney, and the Australian Museum, where they contributed to significant ecological research and assessments. They hold a B.Sc (Hons) in Marine Biology and Coastal Ecology from the University of Plymouth and a Master of Science in Marine Ecology from UNSW.
