Lauren Prunkl

Lauren Prunkl currently serves as a Transportation Planner at Stantec since August 2024. Previously, Lauren held the role of Transportation Analyst at Kittelson & Associates, Inc. from July 2022 to August 2024 and worked as an In-House Consultant for NCDOT, reviewing federal and state public transit grant claims. Lauren's experience includes research as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where the focus was on transportation access barriers for medical appointments, and internships at Kittelson & Associates, Inc. and The Shi Institute for Sustainable Communities. At The Shi Institute, Lauren contributed as a Project Coordinator and GIS Analyst, providing geospatial analysis and supporting GIS education initiatives. Additional leadership experience includes managing the bike rental program as an Alternative Transportation Fellow at Furman University and supervising youth at a non-profit bike shop. Lauren holds a degree in Sustainability Science from Furman University (2014-2018) and completed a graduate program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2020-2022).
