Lesley Cabott

Lesley Cabott serves as the President of the Canadian Institute of Planners since September 2024 and has held various leadership roles at Stantec since September 2015, including Planning Lead for British Columbia and the North. With extensive experience in community planning, sustainability, and engagement, Lesley collaborates with governmental bodies, utility corporations, and private entities to promote long-term sustainability and resilience in communities. Previous positions include Chair at Yukon Energy Corporation, Senior Planner at Cabott Consulting and Urban Systems Ltd., where Lesley led the development of northern communities practices, and Sustainability Practice Leader at Morrison Hershfield. With a Master of Arts in Town and Regional Planning from Leeds Beckett University, Lesley has built a reputation as a national thought leader in community development.
