Matthew Tomaszewski

Matthew Tomaszewski is an experienced environmental scientist and botanist with a strong academic background in natural resource sciences and plant ecology. Matthew's professional journey includes roles as a Research Assistant at Cornell University, where work focused on turfgrass research, and positions with the U.S. Forest Service, conducting botanical surveys and maintaining recreation sites in the Inyo National Forest. At Cardno, Matthew delineated wetlands for the US Army Corps of Engineers and contributed to vegetation monitoring and management plans. Matthew's academic accomplishments include a Master of Science from Washington State University, highlighting research on water stress in western redcedar, and a Bachelor's degree from Cornell University in Plant Sciences. Currently, Matthew works as an Environmental Scientist/Botanist at Stantec. As a student athlete, Matthew was also a distinguished member and captain of the Cornell Heavyweight Crew, earning varsity recognition.
