Melissa Ivie

Principal, Architectural Historian

Melissa Ivie is a Principal and Architectural Historian currently employed at Stantec. Melissa also serves as the Deputy Federal Preservation Officer for the Federal Railroad Administration, focusing on compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act for rail transportation projects. Previously, Ivie was the Regional Cultural Resources Officer at the Bureau of Reclamation, overseeing cultural resources management for the California-Great Basin Region. They began their career as a Student Trainee with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, ultimately serving as a Senior Historian. Ivie holds a Master’s degree in Public/Applied History from California State University-Sacramento.
