Michael Howden

Michael Howden is currently the Water - Digital + Innovation Lead at Stantec and a Complexity Fellow at Victoria University of Wellington, where they co-host discussions on complexity and lead research into its applications. Previously, they held roles as a Software Developer, Logistics Advisor, and Executive Director, driving technological innovations across various sectors, including humanitarian and water management. Michael co-founded AidIQ and contributed significantly to disaster management software and supply chain solutions for organizations like Save the Children and the International Rescue Committee. They earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) from the University of Auckland and a Masters of Commerce in Public Policy from Victoria University of Wellington.
