Peter Banks

Peter Banks is the Head of Commercial, Risk, and Governance Global at Stantec, an engineering consultancy with over 25,000 staff worldwide. Reporting to the global COO, they focus on risk management, governance, training, and commercial support across various sectors. Prior to joining Stantec in 2020, Peter worked for WSP for more than 23 years, where they held multiple roles, including Commercial and Operations Director, contributing significantly to strategic management and operational performance. Their extensive experience also includes significant roles at Parson Brinckerhoff, Balfour Beatty, and Carillion, where they developed a strong foundation in quantity surveying and project management. Peter holds a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying from Edinburgh Napier University.
