R. Kula Kulasingam

R. Kula Kulasingam, Ph.D., P.E., is a Geotechnical Practice Leader and Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Stantec in Charlotte, North Carolina. With over 25 years of engineering experience, Kula has specialized in managing large multidisciplinary projects related to Coal Combustion Products and geoenvironmental engineering. They have served as Engineer-of-Record and Project Manager for various projects in the Carolinas, contributing to the closure evaluations, dewatering, and stability assessments of CCP sites. Prior to their consulting career, Kula conducted research in geotechnical earthquake engineering at the University of California, Davis. Kula continues to advance the field through presentations and publications and has been recognized with the Norman Medal from the American Society of Civil Engineers.
