Sabbir Ahmed, PhD, P.Eng., is a Senior Electrical Engineer and Team Lead at Stantec, where they have been contributing to the Energy & Resources group since 2012. With over 20 years of experience in engineering design, research, and academia, Sabbir completed their BSc and MSc in Electrical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2005 and 2007, respectively. They served as a faculty member at BUET from 2005 until 2008 and earned their PhD from the University of Alberta in 2014, receiving several prestigious scholarships for academic excellence. Currently, Sabbir is also a member of the Board of Examiners at the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) and is the Founder & President of SMART CalSolAr.
