Scotty Moore

Scotty Moore is a Senior Archaeologist and Business Center Practice Leader at Stantec since May 2022, specializing in federal and oil/gas/energy projects, and oversees various technical disciplines as Project Manager. Scotty also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, teaching World Prehistory and Archaeology. Previous roles include Senior Archaeologist and Principal Investigator at Jacobs, where responsibilities included NHPA compliance coordination and supervision of archaeological studies, and Senior Archaeologist at Cox|McLain Environmental Consulting, overseeing cultural resources projects. With extensive teaching experience at several educational institutions, Scotty has developed and implemented curricula and mentored students in anthropology and archaeology. Additionally, Scotty has experience as a TV host and consultant for an archaeology-themed documentary series, contributing to both educational and public outreach in the field. Scotty holds a Master of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and Geology from Southern Methodist University.
