Tyler Smith, GISP, is a Senior GIS Analyst at Stantec since December 2021, where responsibilities include implementing an authoritative GIS using Safe Software FME and ESRI solutions, as well as developing dashboards for asset maintenance. Previous experience includes serving as a GIS Analyst for the City of Sarasota, where geodatabases for the utilities department were created and maintained, and in Sarasota County Government, where several GIS procedures were automated. Earlier roles involved GIS analytical work at Hydromax USA focusing on valve and hydrant assessment projects, and as a GIS Technician for LG&E and KU Energy LLC, converting design diagrams to digital formats. Tyler began a career in cartography at Garmin International, developing marine navigation maps, and holds a Master's degree in GIS Administration from the University of West Florida, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Geography and an Associate degree in Geographic Information Systems/Technology.
