Bob Gallagher's education history begins in 1977 when they attended Brisbane State High School and obtained a Senior High School Certificate. After completing their high school education, they enrolled at The University of Queensland in 1982 and earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree with honors in Mining in 1985.

Following their undergraduate studies, Bob Gallagher pursued further education at UNSW from 1986 to 1988, where they obtained a Master of Applied Science degree in Mining Geomechanics.

In addition to their formal education, Bob Gallagher has obtained various certifications throughout their career. Some of these certifications include Mining Supervisor (S1, 2, 3) from NOST - National On Site Training, First Aid certification from HealthCorp Pty Ltd, and Standard 11 - Generic Surface Mining Induction from OHSA Occupational Health Services Australia. Bob also holds Queensland Coal Mine Worker Health Screening (CMWHS) clearance from Resile Pty Ltd.

Furthermore, Bob Gallagher has completed several courses to enhance their skills and knowledge.
