Dean Monteiro

Dean Monteiro is a Senior Geologist at Stanwell Corporation Limited, with experience in coal chain supervision and exploration program management since October 2022. Previously, Dean served as a Mine Geologist and Geotechnical Engineer at Aeris Resources Limited and Round Oak Minerals Pty Limited, focusing on copper and gold at the Mt Colin Underground Mine. Dean's earlier roles at Anglo American included positions as a Graduate Geologist, where significant improvements were made in data management and resource modeling at Dawson Open-Cut Mine and Moranbah North Underground Mine. Dean holds a Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences from The University of Queensland, complemented by additional training in Geology and Earth Science. Dean’s background also includes roles in academia and customer service, showcasing a well-rounded skill set in geology, education, and communication.
