Matthew Sands

Matthew Sands has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Matthew started their career at Stanwell Corporation Limited in 2011 and held various roles including Mechanical Engineer, Performance Engineer, Mechanical Plant Engineer, and Senior Mechanical Engineer. Matthew worked there until 2020. In 2021, they joined CleanCo Queensland as the Engineering and Technical Services Manager. Matthew later became the Site Manager in January 2023 and briefly served as the Engineering Manager from April to July 2023.

Matthew Sands has a strong educational background with a focus on business and engineering. Matthew started their education journey at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) in 2007 and completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2010. Matthew then pursued further studies at QUT and obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree with a specialization in Power Generation from 2011 to 2014.

Showing an interest in expanding their knowledge in business, Matthew Sands enrolled in QUT again and completed a Master of Business degree in Professional Accounting in 2018. This demonstrates their desire to acquire a broad skill set and expertise in multiple fields.
