Rob Woodall has extensive work experience in various roles within the energy industry. Rob started their career in 1985 as a Fitter at Comalco Mineral Products, where they gained experience in mechanical maintenance and specialized in pump and bore maintenance. Rob then moved on to Austa Electric and Tarong Energy, where they worked as a Units Supervisor and Production Officer, leading a multidisciplinary team in maintaining turbine, boiler, and condensate systems. Rob held this role for five years before transitioning to Maintenance Coordinator-Fuel Plant at Tarong Energy. In 2011, they became the Maintenance Manager at Stanwell Corporation Limited, where they played a key role in a major restructure to improve productivity and profitability in the tough Australian Energy Market. Currently, they serve as the Optimisation Lead for Tarong Power Stations, focusing on process consistency and continuous improvement across Stanwell assets. Throughout their career, Rob has demonstrated expertise in maintenance optimization, plant flexibility, and training and succession planning.
Rob Woodall received a Graduate Certificate in Masters in Engineering (Power Generation) from The University of Queensland in 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in Business and Business Management with a dual degree from the Australian Institute of Management between 2001 and 2003.
