Thomas Helmer

Thomas Helmer is a seasoned industrial designer with extensive experience in consumer electronics and advanced product design. Currently serving as Principal Designer at Star since June 2019, Thomas has also held positions as Senior Industrial Designer and Industrial Designer within the same company. Prior to this role, Thomas worked as a freelancer focusing on cutting-edge industrial design. Educationally, Thomas holds a Master of Fine Arts in Advanced Product Design from Umeå Institute of Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design from Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd. Additional experience includes internships at frog and Philips, along with a position at Carl Zeiss Smart Optics GmbH.
