Derek Nelson

Derek Nelson is currently serving as the VP-Finance & Accounting at Starburst since October 2022. Prior to their current role, Derek held positions such as Senior Vice President of Finance and Vice President-Finance & Controller at Aryaka, a global enterprise SD-WAN provider. With a wealth of experience in finance and accounting, Derek has also worked in leadership roles at companies like iSheriff, Total Defense Inc., Nominum, and Intel. Derek holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BA in Accounting and Japanese from the University of Oregon.
