Sofía Melgar

Sofía Melgar is an accomplished professional in the field of chemical engineering, currently serving as a Process Engineer at StarChem, LLC. since January 2023. Sofía co-founded Formando Líderes en Ingeniería Química Industrial y carreras afines in July 2022, contributing to the development of future engineering leaders. Previously, Sofía held leadership roles in the AIChE UNAH Student Chapter, including Co-President and International Relations Officer, and served as Regional Liaison for the AIChE Executive Student Committee. Education was completed at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, awarded in 2023.
