Austin Link

Co-Founder at Starfish Space

Austin Link is the Co-Founder of Starfish Space. Austin was previously a Simulation Engineer at Blue Origin from January 2016 to September 2019. There, they designed and built physics models for New Shepard, New Glenn, and BE-4 simulations. Austin also analyzed space system architectures through Monte Carlo and off-line analysis. In addition, they led simulation uncertainty analysis examining data from flight, test, suppliers, and REs. Furthermore, they developed Simulink integrated simulations supporting Guidance, Navigation, and Control. Lastly, they led engine control simulations to and through BE-4 software test-stand qualification. Prior to Blue Origin, Austin was a Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin from August 2014 to December 2015. There, they simulated THAAD missile defense using high fidelity ETESIM model. Austin also analyzed expected THAAD flight test performance and collaborated with components to improve simulation. Furthermore, they calculated physical expectations for input to simulation. Before Lockheed Martin, Austin was a Statistical Analyst at TeamRankings.com from April 2011 to August 2014.

Austin Link has a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Stanford University and a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue University.
