Sam James

Sam James is an accomplished design professional with extensive experience in creative product development and design management across various esteemed companies in the textiles industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Creative Product Development at Stark Carpet since January 2018, Sam previously held the position of Senior Vice President of Hospitality and Contract. Prior roles include US Design Director at Couristan Inc. and Senior Design Consultant at Brintons, where expertise in translating and refining client concepts for luxury projects was demonstrated. Early career experience includes leading design initiatives in Singapore, focused on modern Asian aesthetics, and managing design collections at Innovative Carpets. Sam holds a Master of Arts in Textiles for Fashion from St. Martin's College and a Higher National Diploma in Textiles and Surface Pattern from Cleveland School of Art and Design.
