John Oman

John Oman has been working in the creative industry since 2011. John started their career as a Flash Animator at LinguaComm, followed by a Freelance Animator role at CBC. John then took a position as a Freelance Animation Consultant at the BC Provincial Government. In 2011, they also worked as a Director of Animation at Point Blank Creative, where they were responsible for animation and motion graphic production. John then moved on to Una Luma as a Director in 2014, and in 2015 they joined Starling Minds Inc. as Content and Creative Director. In this role, they are responsible for helping members improve their mental fitness by explaining complex psychological concepts in entertaining and compelling ways, as well as ensuring the UI/UX is simple, intuitive, and beautiful.

John Oman attended Emily Carr University of Art and Design from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation, Painting, and Drawing. Prior to this, they obtained a Diploma of Fine Art from Grande Prairie Regional College between 2002 and 2005, with a focus on Fine Art and Drawing.
