Alvaro P.

Alvaro P. has extensive experience in the insurance industry, currently serving as President of Starr Insurance Companies since April 2016, after holding various roles including Vice President & Regional Manager for Latin America and Senior Underwriter for the region. Prior to this, Alvaro held leadership positions at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd from May 2007 to November 2015, including Chief Underwriter Officer for Venezuela and Head of Property for Zurich Latin America. Alvaro's career also includes significant roles at ACE Group and Seguros Colpatria, alongside early experience at Cigna. Alvaro holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad La Gran Colombia.
