Erick Mendiola

Erick Mendiola has over 28 years of work experience in software engineering and technology roles. Erick began their career at IBM as a Consultant Programmer, where they focused on developing, automating, and maintaining performance test suites for OS/2. Mendiola then worked at NCR Corporation as a Research Consultant, conducting research on the Microsoft Windows Kernel and Multimedia Subsystem.

Erick later joined American Software as a Product Engineer, responsible for developing enterprise services and hand-held RF device workflows for warehouse management. Mendiola also worked at Delta Air Lines as a Programmer-Analyst, implementing a re-engineered airport operations software system and increasing customer satisfaction through automated boarding and electronic payments.

Mendiola then served as an Application Architect at Caldwell-Spartin, where they focused on system architecture. Erick went on to work at American Financial Group as a Senior Consultant before joining Assurant. At Assurant, Mendiola held various roles including Software Engineer, Systems Manager, and Director. During their time there, they played a key role in implementing digital chat bots, mobile applications, sub-system integration, business process execution engines, and software assets inventory systems.

Most recently, Mendiola worked at Starr Companies as a Lead Software Engineer. In this role, they implemented a self-service Small Business Insurance Web Application for the UK market and developed a claim and policy document management system.

Throughout their career, Mendiola has focused on improving customer service, reducing operating costs, increasing strategic market differentiation, and achieving significant reductions in operational costs and cycle-time.

Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management Information Systems from Kennesaw State University in 1994.
