Ismael Rivera

Ismael Rivera is a seasoned network engineering professional with extensive experience in the telecommunications field, currently serving as a Network Engineer II at Starr Insurance Companies since September 2018. Previously, Ismael held the position of NOC Network Specialist at Optivon Inc, where responsibilities included VoIP provisioning and troubleshooting Class 4 and Class 5 switches, such as Broadsoft and MetaSwitch. Ismael's early career included a role as a Help Desk Specialist at EDP College, providing support for student applications and desktop maintenance, and service as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps, where leadership and training of personnel were key responsibilities. Ismael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Network and System Administration from Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico.
