Robert Cruz

Robert Cruz is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the insurance industry, currently serving as Executive Vice President in Sales & Distribution at Starr Insurance Companies since May 2015. Prior to Starr, Robert held significant roles at Hiscox, including Senior Vice President for the Southwest Region and for War, Terrorism, and Political Violence, where responsibilities encompassed broad management of product lines and underwriter teams. Robert also served as Homeland Security Practice Leader at AIG, managing a substantial portfolio of terrorism-related premiums, and held various security-focused positions at American International Group. Earlier in their career, Robert served as an Officer in the US Army, attaining ranks from Lieutenant to Captain, and developed a solid academic foundation with a Master’s in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster University and a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from St. John’s University.
