Robert McTaggart serves as the Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer for Financial Lines at Starr Insurance, a position held since April 2017. In this role, McTaggart heads Professional Indemnity and Cyber for London and Europe and previously led the Professional Indemnity division. Prior to joining Starr Insurance, McTaggart was Line of Business Manager for Professional Indemnity at Aviva from April 2011 to April 2017, managing the UK professional indemnity account with a focus on corporate risk. McTaggart began a career in professional liability as a Senior Underwriter at Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co. (Europe) Ltd from November 2007 to April 2011. McTaggart holds a 2:1 BA degree in Geography from the University of Southampton, obtained between 1998 and 2001.
