Vice President, Hardware And Systems Engineering at Starry

Andrew Baisch has an extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Andrew most recently worked at Starry, Inc. where they held multiple roles including Vice President of Hardware and Systems Engineering, Director of Systems Engineering, and Director of Product Engineering. In these positions, they were responsible for various aspects of hardware design and engineering, including thermal and EMI design, materials research, and weather mitigation design. Andrew also worked on rooftop deployments and conducted research on radome materials and geometries. Prior to their time at Starry, Andrew worked as the Vice President of Manufacturing at Vibrant Composites, a start-up that focused on millimeter-scale mechanical systems. Andrew also worked at Harvard University as a PhD Candidate and Graduate Researcher, where they focused on micro-robot manufacturing processes and developed the Harvard Ambulatory MicroRobot (HAMR). Andrew also gained experience at Cornell University as an NNIN REU and at ClearCount Medical Solutions, Inc. as a Mechanical Engineering Intern.

From 2004 to 2008, Andrew Baisch attended Carnegie Mellon University, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, they pursued higher education at Harvard University from 2008 to 2013, where they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
