David Peters is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in crisis financing, disaster preparedness, and hospitality. Currently serving as a Training and Capacity Development Advisor at Start Network since March 2021, David focuses on the organization's Crisis Financing programs. Prior to this role, David held multiple positions at British Red Cross from May 2018 to March 2021, including Resilience Programme Officer, where responsibility included managing disaster preparedness initiatives in the Caribbean. David also has experience in the hospitality and maritime sectors, having worked as a chalet host and chef in the French Alps, and as a first mate and boat captain in the Virgin Islands. David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Royal Holloway, University of London.
