Ed Parkinson is a Senior Anticipatory Action Technical Advisor with extensive experience in humanitarian operations. They have held various positions at Save the Children UK and Save the Children International from 2016 to 2018, focusing on capacity building and humanitarian responses during the European Refugee Crisis. Currently, at FAO, they lead projects addressing hydro-meteorological hazards in Timor-Leste and have also managed anticipatory action initiatives in Laos. With a strong academic background, Ed is pursuing multiple postgraduate degrees, including a Master of Science in Disaster Risk Science from UCL.
