Marc Sofer

Marc Sofer is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with extensive experience in the startup and investment sectors. As a Founding Partner at Byron Ventures since 2019, Marc provides expertise and funding to innovative entrepreneurs for global growth. Additionally, Marc serves as Chair of Byron Bay Angels, a prominent regional angel group, and holds influential roles as Board Director and investor across several organizations, including Startmate, AirTree, and the Brisbane Angels Group. With a focus on fostering the startup ecosystem, Marc also advises The DEVEREUX Collective, co-founded Kingsgate Capital, and manages MSSEC Group, where extensive investment management and real estate development take place. Marc's academic contributions include adjunct lecturing in Entrepreneurial Finance at Southern Cross University, complemented by a strong educational background from the University of Oxford and the University of Sussex.
