Dan Young serves as the Founding Director of the Wharton-AltFinance Institute at The Wharton School, where a $90 million initiative focuses on funding opportunities at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Dan also holds positions as an Organizer for TEDxWilmington and Chapter Director for Startup Grind Wilmington, fostering connections among startups and innovators. As Vice-President of Education and Strategy for the Sports Philanthropy Network, Dan advocates for the positive social impact of sports. Previous roles include Co-Founder of Maverick Class LLC, Founding Director and Assistant Professor for the Doctor of Business Administration Program at Goldey-Beacom College, and faculty positions at the University of Delaware and Wilmington University. Dan led initiatives to enhance diversity in nonprofit leadership as President of Trustees of Color, Inc., and provided financial advisory services at Ameriprise Financial Services. Dan holds a PhD in Social and Behavioral Marketing from Temple University and various leadership and business qualifications from prestigious institutions.
