Cara Murphy

Cara Murphy is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, expected to graduate in 2026. They previously held multiple internships, including a Software Engineer Intern at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, where they became the second intern in the lab's history to receive a special achievement award. They also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Google, where they improved accessibility testing tools, and are presently serving as the Director of Operations at Startup Shell, managing a 24-hour co-working space and evaluating numerous applicants each semester. Earlier in their career, they contributed to digital experiences as a Research & Science Communications Intern at the Museum of Science.
