Jess Garnett is a highly motivated professional with extensive experience in engineering and manufacturing. Currently serving as an Engineering Intern in Advanced Manufacturing at GE Research since June 2023, Jess is also pursuing a Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering at the University of Maryland while working as a Graduate Research Assistant. As the Co-Founder of JMakes3D and a Founder at Startup Shell, Jess interprets client needs to develop innovative, commercializable solutions. Previous roles include Production Manager at Novel Microdevices, where manufacturing processes were enhanced, and various positions within the University of Maryland's engineering departments, focusing on design coordination and project management. Additional experience includes product design at Solr Tech, LLC, as well as leadership and operational roles in pool management. Jess holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Material Science and Engineering from the University of Maryland.
