Neil Sorkin has a diverse work experience in various companies. In 2019, they worked as a SEAP Intern at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, where they developed the LEctenna app for PC and Android and the Human Authorized Robotically Aimed Laser Dazzler. In 2022, Neil worked as a TDP Software Engineer Intern at AT&T, leading the development of a robot that improves LTE signal strength in rural areas and implementing road-based routing distance calculation for AT&T Fiber. Neil then joined Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. (RGi) as a Software Engineer Intern, where they created a LiDAR SLAM pipeline and a LiDAR recording web app using Flask. Currently, in 2022, Neil is the founder of Redhelm Labs at Startup Shell.

Neil Sorkin completed their high school education at W.T. Woodson High School from 2016 to 2020, where they majored in Computer Science. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Maryland from 2020 to 2023.
