Viraaj Singh is currently serving as the Research Lead at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism, University of Maryland, where leadership is provided to a team of five in the development of web projects and interactive data visualizations, alongside the creation of an AI tool called New View News. In parallel, Viraaj is a Fellow in the F23 Cohort at Startup Shell. Previous experience includes software engineering internships at Rebite, where a full-stack Vendor Management Platform was built, and Trestle. Viraaj is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, having completed a high school diploma at Issaquah High School. Work from Viraaj's current role is set to be featured in an upcoming book in late 2025.
