Joyce Tay's work experience includes co-founding and serving as the Chief Strategy Officer at StartupX, where they oversee global innovation programs and develops partnerships with leading corporations and governments. Joyce also founded and grew Startup Weekend into Southeast Asia's largest startup community, attracting participants from over 80 countries. Joyce is a founding partner at IxSA, a group focused on innovation and sustainability, and they launched the HyperX Global Sustainability Hackcelerator. Additionally, Joyce has served as a Program Director at various organizations, including Y-Lab Foundry, National Gallery Singapore's program for art and technology innovation, and the Creative Fellowship program at SCAPE. Joyce pioneered Asia's first pre-accelerator program at The Start Pre-accelerator and worked on growth initiatives and strategy at NUS Enterprise, including launching their BLOCK71 incubators in Indonesia. Before that, Joyce was the founder of GetAssured for Business, a digital venture for a financial institution, and NATIVGO, a platform promoting Asian artists and craftsmen.

Joyce Tay's education history begins in 2007 when they enrolled at the National University of Singapore. Joyce completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Statistics in 2010.
