Brian Lawrence is an accomplished biomedical engineer with extensive experience in leadership roles within the biopharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Chief Scientific Officer at SILKTEARS, INC. and Chief Executive Officer of SilkTech Biopharmaceuticals, Brian specializes in exploring anti-inflammatory silk-derived proteins for therapeutic applications. As a founder member of StartX and a participant in Pando, Brian emphasizes collaboration among entrepreneurs to drive innovation. Previous experiences include leading the development of silk-based corneal bandages at SERYX BIOMEDICAL, INC., and conducting research on biopolymers for vision health during graduate studies at Cornell University and Tufts University.
