Michael Florea

Michael Florea is the Founder and CEO of Olden Labs, a position held since June 2023. Additionally, Michael participates in the S24 Cohort at StartX, serves as a Foresight Fellow at the Foresight Institute, and is an Emergent Ventures Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, all roles commencing in 2024 or later. Michael's academic background includes earning a PhD in Biology/Biological Sciences from Harvard University, an MSc in Biotechnology from ETH Zürich, and a BSc in Biology from Imperial College London. Prior experience includes co-founding Puraffinity and SynBIC, conducting research at various institutions including Harvard Medical School and the Natural History Museum, and completing an undergraduate research role at Imperial College London.
