Michaela Brown

Michaela Brown serves as the Deputy Director of State Capacity Building at State Voices, where responsibilities include developing and managing training opportunities for a network of 25 State Tables and ensuring training sessions are engaging and culturally relevant. Previously, Michaela held the position of Executive Director at Organizing Black, demonstrating strong fundraising and team leadership skills while managing fiscal responsibilities and outreach strategies. Michaela's experience also encompasses various roles such as Executive Assistant at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and Program Coordinator at the Baltimore Black Worker Center, where contributions included strategic planning and community engagement. An early career included positions at the Baltimore Algebra Project and The Real News Network, focusing on organizational development and media engagement. Michaela holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Morgan State University.
