Ian Rooze

Ian Rooze is a seasoned engineering professional with over 36 years of experience in electrical and design engineering. Currently serving as a Principal Design Engineer Digital at Northrop Grumman since April 2020, Ian specializes in RTL design for FPGAs and ASICs. Previous roles include Senior Electrical Design Engineer at Static Control Components, Inc., and Principal FPGA Design Engineer at Hatteras Networks (2001-2003). Ian began a career in FPGA design as a Senior FPGA Design Engineer at Pliant Systems and gained early experience as a Design Engineer at Furuno Diagnostics America, where medical ultrasound hardware was developed. Ian's foundational engineering skills were honed at Analogic Corporation, where multiple design and testing roles were held from 1987 to 1996. Ian holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University, awarded in 1987.
