Matteo Giomi is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in privacy research and astroparticle physics. Currently, Matteo leads the privacy research team at Anonos, specializing in anonymization and advanced pseudonymization techniques. As a privacy researcher at Statice since August 2019, Matteo has focused on synthetic data and the privacy aspects of generative processes, with contributions published at the Privacy Enhancing Technology Symposium 2023. Previous roles include postdoctoral researcher at Humboldt University of Berlin, where Matteo worked on the Zwiki Transient Facility, and a PhD student at DESY, concentrating on variability studies in gamma-ray astronomy. Matteo holds a PhD in Physics from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and multiple degrees from Italian institutions, including a Laurea Magistrale and a Laurea Triennale in Physical and Astrophysical Sciences.
